PEARL Social Mastery is a QCA backed, DCSF approved and LSC funded course aimed at making candidates aware of what an effective and therefore employable person looks and behaves like.

It  targets improvements and understanding of the key life and work skills of

  • Motivation
  • Managing Feelings
  • Social Skills
  • Empathy
  • Self-Awareness

It is in essence a self-improvement course which is performance assessed.

True Alternative has developed a number of approaches to developing these skills that fit the needs of those seeking work.

The most important part of any candidate’s personal development is the opportunity not to be told, but to reflect on information which is useful and impactful and in most (but not all) instances that involves a break between sessions of a few days, most commonly a week.

The most successful format for PEARL is a commitment of 3-4 hours per week of direct learning over 3-4 weeks.

Workshops over 2 full days are also very useful for those willing and able to commit the time.

The content and delivery model are fully flexible and that allows us to “connect” with a cohort in a variety of ways.

In any event candidates will achieve a Nationally Recognised award which can be at Entry Level through to a Grade 3 (A level) equivalent on the national framework.

True Alternative are dedicated to delivering suitable personal development programmes to ALL and as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility choose not to charge any learner for attendance.
